Recently, the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union hosted a meeting for nurses and midwives leaders from southern Africa. The meeting at the Common Wealth Resort,Munyonyo attracted members from 8 countries. It deliberated on the challenges to nurses and task shifting,especially in the wake of an HIV/AIDS epidemic in the region. The leaders resolved to national nurses organisations in respective countries work with members to find strategies to put task shifting to nurses benefit in order to better respond to the pandemic in the sub saharan african regionSaturday, October 24, 2009
